Easy Blackjack Evolution GamingIt's amazing a classic card game that easily goes back a few hundred years can keep reinventing itself. But so be it. With the world of online gaming, and the many creative developers out there, even the most classic of casino games can continue to evolve. And who more appropriate than Evolution Gaming to do that?

What's called a one-to-many game, it's played with as many people who want to log in, alongside a live dealer. But it's not just because it's virtual that there's so much room at the table. Rather this game has no player hand, so there are plenty of cards for the round.

Just the dealer is dealt in, and the rest of you have to guess in advance the total number that will beat their hand; 16, 17, 18, 19, or 20. And since there's no player hand to be built, there's no decision to hit or stand. Just this simple choice vs. the dealer.

Sound intriguing? You bet it is! So let's explore what Easy Blackjack is about.

Easy Blackjack Basics

When Evolution Gaming released this one, it's catch line was: "Enjoy redefined gameplay and break free from traditional blackjack strategy!"

While it's hard to understand what the differences are from that description, it's totally on-target experientially. That is, Easy Blackjack is indeed a totally different way to play. In fact, while there are strong elements of blackjack in there, for gambling purposes, it's more along the lines of a guessing game.

Info iconBasically what you're doing is guessing the dealer's hand value, and choosing a position higher than it. That's it. There's no card strategy involved, and that's for the simple reason that you aren't dealt any cards!

Instead the dealer is the only one dealt in, while you bet on what hand you'll need to beat theirs. Your options are 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20. In other words, predefined hand scores, so your hand is essentially of that value, and now it has to beat the dealer's for a win. If the dealer busts, you also win, while in the case of a push, your bet is returned.

In terms of mechanics, to make the bet, simply place your chips on one of those hand values. You can also place a chip on the 'Bust It' side bet, which we'll remind you is a wager that the dealer's hand will bust, i.e. exceed 21. This bet can be won regardless of the outcome of the main bet.

A few other things to keep in mind are that the dealer must hit on 16 and stand on a soft 17. Also, this is a live game, so you'll have a time limit to place your bets, especially since as a multi-player game, the dealer wouldn't want to leave so many folks waiting around.

Rules and special features

  • The game is played with 8 decks of cards
  • You pick the value of a hand that will beat the dealer - 16, 17, 18, 19, or 20
  • If you're right, you win
  • Dealer has to hit on 16 or less, stand on a soft 17+
  • In the event of a push, your bet is returned
  • Bust It side bet option is available
  • Fast paced action
  • Live dealer interactivity
  • Totally new game experience
  • 97% RTP

Idea iconTip: You can bet on more than one hand in Easy Blackjack, and even 'Bet on All' with a simple press of the button marked exactly that on the table.

Play Easy Blackjack for Free

It's one thing to call itself easy, but at the end of the day, only you the player can decide if that description is true. As such free play is your best bet, to make an assessment risk-free. Unfortunately though, with Easy Blackjack, this isn't an option, as live casino games can only be played with real money chips.

Some casinos may let you sit in, though others may require that you at least have some funds in your account to even watch. You can try your luck at any of our recommended operators for free viewing purposes. Or see the screenshot below for a sneak peek.

Easy Blackjack Winning Odds

As you'll see marked on the table, Easy Blackjack pays out differently for each hand you pick for the win. The lower the winning hand, the higher your payback will be, as it's considered easier to win with a 20 than a 16 against the dealer.

Hand payouts are very precise, down to the decimal point, as follows:

Winning hand Pay rate
16 2.45:1
17 1.93:1
18 0.95:1
19 0.48:1
20 0.13:1

For the Bust It side bet the payouts can be higher, but your odds of winning are not particularly high, especially as the number of cards increases. Though if you win on this side bet with 6 or more cards, the prize is huge.

Bust It side bet payouts are:

Dealer bust Pay rate
With 8+ cards 250:1
With 7 cards 100:1
With 6 cards 50:1
With 5 cards 9:1
With 4 cards 2:1
With 3 cards 1:1

Is Easy Blackjack Really Easier than Other Variants?

The easy part of the name is meant to be about easing your worries, in terms of decision making. That is, you don't have to think about your next move, or consult a strategy chart for what to do next.

Easy Blackjack at Bizzo CasinoYou just pick a position - as in which hand will win - and that's it. The rest is up to pure fate, with nothing further for you to do. As such, if you're prone to doing so, you don't have to beat yourself up after a losing hand, thinking you should have hit or held.

It's almost like a slot machine or scratch card game in the sense of random luck. Though not quite, as you do still have to consider the house rules of when a dealer holds or hits, and which bet makes sense for you in terms of balancing odds and desired cash returns.

Easy Blackjack Basic Strategy

Short and simple, there is no blackjack strategy table to follow for this variant. So while we love to be your source for card playing tips, this isn't really how this game rolls.

Instead, you'll need to think about the hands you can bet on - 16, 17, 18, 19, or 20 - and remember that you're not trying to build your hand, rather straight out beat the dealer with what you've now got.

It's also important to note that there's no way for you to get a blackjack in this game, or beat a 20 or 21 dealer hand. So when considering your bets, you'll want to think strategically about the possible ramifications.

  • The 16 hand, for example, is basically betting that the dealer will bust, which is a reasonable assumption, since they must draw on 16; so there's a decent likelihood of them going over. Actually, from what we've seen, it's about every 4 hands or so that the dealer busts, though that's not an official stat.
  • Choosing 17 some would say, while this isn't a great hand, is betting on a push, or maybe also the dealer busting, due to that same dealer rule.
  • As for the rest of your options, keep in mind that a bet on 18 will only beat a dealer's 17, or again, their bust. A similar thought pattern goes for 19 though you'll win on a dealer 17 and 18 hand, while a 20 pick increases your possible wins a bit more, following that logic.

Easy Blackjack Tips and Tricks

Beyond the strategy of how to look at the hands you can choose in this variant, there are a few tips for Easy Blackjack play.

Caution IconFirst of all, remember, this isn't about building your own hand. Rather, it's about making a guess on a position that will beat the dealer hand. So as much as you may have blackjack skills, a small mindset shift is required.

Second, internalize what we wrote about the different hands in the strategy section, so you better understand what you're playing against, and for really.

Third, while we love side bets, they're not usually worthwhile. Interestingly, the 16-hand according to the law of averages is going to be a better bet than the Bust It side bet. Though of course, with the Bust It, if you beat the odds you're going to get a bigger payout.

Finally, like on a roulette wheel, you can bet on more than one section (i.e. hand) in this game. But here too it's not necessarily worthwhile as the expense can easily be more than the return. This is especially true if you choose the 'Bet on All' button, and only your top hand or two wins.

1. Who invented the Easy Blackjack game?

Easy Blackjack was developed by Evolution Gaming, a world-leading gaming studio which has been consistently releasing amazing live casino games since 2006.

2. Where can I play Easy Blackjack?

As one of the most popular iGaming developers, Evolution Gaming titles are carried by many of the best online casinos around. While many will have Easy Blackjack in their offering, not all will, as each operator licenses only a select number of games.

So while it shouldn't be too hard to find, it definitely isn't everywhere, which is why it may be worth consulting our recommended Easy Blackjack casinos list to narrow your search.

3. Is Easy Blackjack a live casino game?

Yes, Easy Blackjack is a live casino game. This means that there is a live dealer working the table and the action unfolds in real time, as seen on your screen (mobile, computer, or tablet all work).

4. What's the goal when playing Easy Blackjack?

The goal of Easy Blackjack is to pick a hand that beats the dealer's from the choices on the table. That's it. Achieve that, and you win.

5. Which numbers can I bet on in Easy Blackjack?

There are exactly 5 options on the betting table from which to choose, which are a 16, 17, 18, 19, or 20 hand. You can pick 1 or more of these options. In fact, you can bet on all 5 positions in a single round, if you'd like.

6. Which hand should I bet on, or should I bet on more than one?

The lower the hand value, the higher the payout rate will be if you win against the dealer, so keep that in mind when making your choice. Plus, deeply consider whether wagering on more than one hand really hedges your bet, as the expense out of pocket is going to be higher.

7. Are there any side bets in Easy Blackjack play?

Yes, there is the Bust It side bet available in this game. As a reminder, it's a wager that the dealer's hand will exceed 21, with payouts increasing based on the number of cards the dealer draws before busting. Like most blackjack side bets, it has a higher house edge than the base game, but also significantly higher prize potential.

8. Can I buy insurance in Easy Blackjack?

No, you can't buy insurance against a dealer Ace in Easy Blackjack, because it's irrelevant here. You're not really playing against the dealer in the classic sense of the game, and won't be getting any more cards anyhow.

9. Are there limited spots at the Easy Blackjack table?

Easy Blackjack is a multiplayer game with an infinite number of spots at the table. Since it's virtual there's no limit to the seats. Plus, as the players' aren't dealt in, there's no worry of running out of cards. As such, there will always be room for you whenever you're in the mood to play.

10. Does Easy Blackjack have good odds?

While a 97% RTP is excellent in online slots, it's undeniably a bit lower than standard online blackjack variants. A game like Ultimate Blackjack, for example, has a 99.51% RTP, while the popular Lightning Blackjack has an even higher 99.56% RTP.

As such the house edge is relatively high, but still within reason, especially since what you're getting here is a different type of experience than the standard blackjack play other variants give you.

11. What currencies can I use for buying Easy Blackjack chips?

Chip denominations come in 1, 2, 5, 100, 500, and 1,000 in this game. Whether that's euros or dollars will depend on what currency you've used to bank. If the casino you're playing at works with crypto, then the chip values would also just as easily reflect that. So essentially, you can use any currency the casino accepts to buy chips and bet on the Easy Blackjack game.

Easy Blackjack Summary

Bottom line, if you're a die-hard blackjack strategist looking to hone your card playing skills, this one may not be for you. However, if you like the familiar setting of a blackjack table, and want to explore a new angle of play, this could absolutely be your thing.

Easy Blackjack is certainly different, has great gambling aspects, and in our opinion is an entertaining option for at least a few hands, when taking a break from more intense, classic blackjack play.
